XX Malyshev Readings: Education, Technology and Society at the change of Epochs

On March 28-29, 2024, the jubilee international congress "XX Malyshev Readings: Education, Technology and Society at the change of Epochs" was held.

The purpose of the congress was to bring together representatives of various fields of higher education, the scientific sphere, the corporate sector, educational and technological platforms, as well as authorities on a common platform.

The main objective of the event is to share experiences, discuss current trends and develop promising solutions for the development of the educational industry.

On the first day of the congress, a panel discussion "Education in the era of transformation: Modern challenges and possible solutions" was held in the congress hall of the President Hotel as part of the business program.

The moderators were Andrei Vladlenovich Belotserkovsky, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Higher Education, Vice-rector of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography and Marina Valerievna Tsurkan, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Public Administration of Tver State University, member of the Public Chamber of the Tver Region.

The discussion was attended by leading experts in the field of education and science: Borovskaya Marina Alexandrovna (President of the Southern Federal University), Gordin Mikhail Valeryevich (Rector of Bauman Moscow State Technical University), Ivashkevich Evgeny Vasilyevich (Rector of the Central University), Kosachenko Oksana Pavlovna (Chief Investment Officer of PJSC AFK Sistema"), Yuri E. Khokhlov (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute for the Development of the Information Society), Alexey L. Semenov (Director of the Institute of Cybernetics and Educational Informatics named after A. I. Berg of the Federal Research Center "Informatics and Management" of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Vladimir Alekseevich Zernov (Rector of the Russian New University, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Private Educational Organizations of Higher Education and Professional Educational Organizations of Russia), Barasbi Suleymanovich Karamurzov (Adviser to the President of the Russian Union of Rectors), Olga Nikolaevna Oleinikova (leading analyst at the Center for the Development of Higher Education and secondary vocational education of the Russian Academy of Education, Director of the Center for the Study of Problems of Vocational Education), Surat Igor Lvovich (President of the Institute of Psychoanalysis).

On this day, the key topics of the discussion were discussed – current problems of modern higher and secondary vocational education, as well as training of highly qualified personnel. During the debate, the participants tried to find innovative solutions to these problems that meet the modern needs of the economy of the Russian Federation.

The panel discussion was held in a businesslike constructive atmosphere, an atmosphere of cooperation and lively dialogue.

On the second day of the Congress "XX Malyshev Readings", the participants presented the results of their research activities on the following scientific tracks:

A new educational paradigm in the context of economic transformation (Changes in the educational system in the context of modern global economic transformations were discussed)

IT technologies and digitalization of education as a goal of sustainable development (The role of information technology in improving the quality of education and achieving sustainable development goals was considered);

Sustainable development in Russia: the state of the legal field and legal practice (The existing legislation and practice of its application in the context of sustainable development in Russia were analyzed);

Managing the sustainable development of the Russian Federation in the context of global challenges and threats to economic security (Strategies and measures to manage the process of sustainable development of the country in difficult economic conditions and in the face of global threats were discussed);

The view of young scientists on the problems of sustainable development (The research of young scientists and their views on the current problems of sustainable development of the Russian Federation are presented).

During the scientific tracks meeting, a heated discussion sometimes broke out, during which there was an in-depth discussion of important aspects of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the Russian Federation and proposals were developed to adapt the main priorities of the UN SDGs to Russian realities and prospects.

Participation in the XX Malyshev Readings allowed specialists and young scientists to expand their professional horizons, learn about the latest trends and achievements in various fields, as well as find potential partners to work together on projects and research.

Lyudmila Skakovskaya, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture, welcomed the organizers and participants of the jubilee XX Malyshev Readings. The Senator noted that today's readings are taking place at a significant moment when our country is on the verge of global reforms in the higher education system. "President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has repeatedly noted that Russia's sustainable development in a changing world requires not only strong ideas, but also effective mechanisms for their implementation. That is why it is especially important to communicate and find opportunities for continuous improvement of the domestic higher education system."
