The XXI Malyshev Readings Took Place in Moscow, Dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of Nikolay Grigoryevich Malyshev

On March 27, Moscow hosted the XXI International Congress with elements of a scientific school for young researchers — Malyshev Readings 2025. This year, the event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Nikolay Grigoryevich Malyshev — a Soviet and Russian expert in information systems, Chairman of the RSFSR State Committee for Science and Higher Education (1990–1991), and Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation on science and higher education.

The event was traditionally organized by the Moscow University named after S.Yu. Witte.

The Congress was opened by Alexander Vyacheslavovich Semenov, Rector of the Moscow University named after S.Yu. Witte, Doctor of Economics, Professor. Welcoming speeches were also delivered by distinguished guests:

Gennady Grigoryevich Onishchenko — Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, and Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Education;

Igor Anatolyevich Sokolov — Academician of the RAS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics at Moscow State University, and Scientific Director of the Federal Research Center "Informatics and Management" of the RAS.

The program included a plenary session, thematic scientific tracks, and two large-scale panel discussions.

The panel discussion “Artificial Intelligence as a Megatrend in Digital Technologies” brought together leading scientists and practitioners:

  • Evgeny Burnaev (Skoltech)

  • Sergey Panfilov (Central University)

  • Grigory Konson (MIPT)

  • Rostislav Razumchik (FRC IU RAS)

  • Yuri Khokhlov (Institute for the Development of the Information Society)

The panel discussion “Between Man and Algorithm: What Kind of Intelligence Does Society Need?” featured:

  • Pavel Drogovoz (Bauman Moscow State Technical University)

  • Semyon Lebedev (Kosygin Russian State University)

  • Roman Rybka (Kurchatov NBICS Complex)

  • Dmitry Ushakov (Institute of Psychology of the RAS)

  • Yuri Chekhovich (Antiplagiat company)

Throughout the day, participants discussed how artificial and natural intelligence influence educational technologies, legal systems, the economy, and society as a whole. The event brought together representatives of universities, research centers, industry, students, graduate students, and early-career professionals.

The best papers will be published in an electronic collection with an ISBN and indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). The Congress reaffirmed its reputation as a significant scientific and educational platform shaping the agenda of the future.
