Interregional Author's Animation Film Festival "KLEN": Creativity and Environmental Care
From September 19 to 21, 2024, the final stage of the 1st Interregional Author's Animation Film Festival "KLEN" took place in Barnaul. The event was organized by the Altai State Institute of Culture and the Association of Cultural and Creative Schools of Altai, with the support of the Governor of the Altai Territory.
Representatives from 79 organizations and individual participants from all over Russia, as well as from Belarus and Estonia, participated in the competition program. In total, 284 films were submitted to the festival, and 40 of the best works made it to the shortlist and were screened during the festival.
The Grand Prix of the festival was awarded to the films: "The Most Important Birthday!" by Elizaveta Yaroslavtseva from the Volgograd region and "The Freak" by Maria Odintsova from St. Petersburg. The jury praised the originality and professional execution of these films.
The festival included practical workshops and lectures by leading representatives of the animation industry, dedicated to modern trends in animation. This provided participants with the opportunity to learn new things, network with professionals, and exchange experiences.
The highlight of the festival was the planting of maple trees in one of Barnaul’s parks, symbolizing environmental care and supporting sustainable development. The organizers hope that planting maple trees will become a cherished tradition and that the festival will continue to grow, attracting more participants.
