Round table "Solving food security problems in the context of import substitution policy in the Russian Federation"

November 14 at the Ryazan branch of the Moscow University named after S.Y. Witte, a round table was held as part of the interaction between participants of the Consortium "Sustainable Development" and the base department of LLC "Crisis Management Technologies" on the topic: "Addressing Food Security Challenges under the Import Substitution Policy in the Russian Federation."

Event Goal — discussing challenges, threats, and potential solutions to food security issues in the new economic realities.

Round Table Participants:

  • General Director of LLC "Invest-Agro" S.V. Gavryunin;

  • Leading expert of the base department of LLC "Crisis Management Technologies" O.E. Gudkova;

  • Representatives of the teaching and academic staff of the Department of Economics and Finance:

    • O.I. Shvaika, Head of the Department;

    • I.N. Gravshina, Deputy Head of the Department;

    • V.G. Kalinin, Associate Professor;

    • N.S. Lukovnikova, Associate Professor;

    • G.N. Lvova, Senior Lecturer.

Round table participants and students of the "Economics" program and "Customs" specialization in full-time and part-time modes presented reports. Topics included:

  • Threats to food security.

  • Prospects for import substitution in the agro-industrial sector.

  • Solutions to ensuring food independence.

The event resulted in a resolution proposing effective strategies to address food security challenges under the import substitution policy.

The round table emphasized the importance of uniting efforts of educational and scientific institutions, businesses, and government authorities to achieve stability in the country's food supply sector.
