Contest "Thoughtful Reader": every Good Book is a Book about Sustainable Development
The Central City Children's Library named after A.P. Gaidar has announced the start of the 15th Moscow contest "Thoughtful Reader". The contest aims to encourage a love of reading, develop critical thinking, text analysis skills, and the ability to express one's own thoughts.
To participate in the contest, you need to write a creative work—review, critique, or essay—on a book included in the recommended catalog "100 Best New Books for Children and Teenagers" for 2023 or 2024. Each edition of the catalog necessarily includes books that promote the ideas of sustainable development and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Children who love reading and their parents, librarians and educators, as well as university and college students are invited to participate in the contest. Works are accepted until December 9, 2024. Learn more about the contest conditions.
Contest finalists will receive diplomas and book gifts, while winners in each category will receive electronic tablets.
